My name is Runako Sarsha which means beautiful defender of the people, it originates from Zimbabwe, where I was born. And as I’ve grown older I have been able to embrace and appreciate my culture much more. I created the brand of @thezimbee in 2017 when I first started uploading videos onto my YouTube channel, mostly posting vlogs, travel diaries and the reality of growing up in the UK as a black girl.

A year into my diagnosis of NMOSD and MOG, I decided to partner up with a videographer and create a documentary about my journey. Although I have my main social media platforms, Chronically Rue isn’t just an ordinary blog or just to help people with their chronic illnesses. It’s a forum that I have created to motivate people, learn new things and try new experiences even through the tough days! Because believe me, a sis has her bad days too!

GET TO KNOW ME…

I wanted to create a platform where you guys can learn new things, discover different elements of my life so here you are! I have had many questions about Rue’s Kitchen and I delivered! You want to learn exclusive recipes from my cookbook , I got you! Want to know how I lost 27KG and how I maintain my healthy eating whilst at uni? I got you! Intrigued about how I stay on track with my faith even though life may ne hard at times? A sis has got you! Want to book a trip and don’t know where to go next and what to do whilst there? I have got you!
